UPC's Wellness Action Team (WAT) is a coalition of over 20 organizations focused on addressing community needs in areas such as mental and physical health, early childhood education, and basic necessities like food and clothing. As more households face complex challenges, we enhance our collaborative efforts through a strategic approach that prioritizes awareness, education, and prevention. Kristen Ford, Project Director ECDEC/FIND is team chair.
In our monthly virtual meetings, agencies discuss challenges, identify key issues, and sometimes form targeted subcommittees. We also highlight community resources, and our Parent Workshops equip families with tools and strategies to navigate challenges and build resilience. Contact Nancy Mendez at nmendez@upcoalition.org for a link to the next meeting.
An online directory that lists over 80 local agencies. Be part of the directory by clicking on green List your Services tab on the directory or contacting Anne Campbell at acampbell@upcoalition.org.
